I recently purchased VideoStudio proX9 ultimate and I am very happy with it.
I am having a problem finding the way to change the writing speed on my dvd rom, I want to create a dvd disc at the lowest writing speed with Corel. I think it gave me the option to choose the speed once, but I would like to change it and I can not find the way to do it.
Help on DVD writing speed.

Re: Help on DVD writing speed.
These days the quality of discs, burners and the speed that computers can process information means burning speed is not the issue it was in the early days.
So if you meet those criteria burning at the fastest speed will give you as good a disc as the slowest.
I've not burned a slow disc for about 4 or 5 years now and I burn tens sometimes hundreds a day.

Re: Help on DVD writing speed.
I burned 2 separate projects on 2 separate discs using Sony - 4.7 GB DVD+R RW discs and I am having problems playing them back on my computer and bluray/dvd players. The audio gets out of sync and then the video portion totally pauses as the audio keeps playing. Strangely enough, when a specific chapter is done, in the next chapter the video and audio play together perfectly for about half a minute or so and then the out of sync process repeats itselfskier-hughes wrote:These days the quality of discs, burners and the speed that computers can process information means burning speed is not the issue it was in the early days.

I thought that maybe writing the discs at a lower speed would help, but I do not know how to change it.

Re: Help on DVD writing speed.
Do you have a disc-burning program like the Nero or Roxio suites, or even a freeware program like ImgBurn? If so, you could make an ISO file or DVD/BD folder using VS, then burning it to disc using the third party program.
As for the out of sync problem, are you trying to burn the project file (.vsp) to disc, or are you first converting the project in the Editing module to a DVD or BD compatible file, then burning that to disc? If not, then try that workflow.
