How to Copy Multiple Layers (as layers)?

Post by PianoAl »

Is there a way to copy several layers from one PSPIMAGE to another such that they will be in the same spatial relationship in the new image (and not merged)?

Thanks.

I only have X8 so I don't know if this is different.

If it's a layer group, the entire group can be copied and pasted between images. There is a drag and drop option where you drag a layer from the layers palette, hover over another image to activate it, then drop it into the layers palette for the image. However, in X8 if you try and drag and drop more than one layer it'll merge them for you.

So if you were to group all of the layers selected, then copy the group, that would work. But a straight copy and paste of all selected layers will not.

It might be possible to script this.

Thanks, Levi, that worked.

Although the first two times I did it, PSP crashed. ??
