Some Background MP3s Randomly Skip

I am getting skips with about 1 out of every 4 MP3s I use as background audio. It kinda sounds like someone is playing randomn soft bongos over the top of the MP3 selected as background audio. Its is a recently purchased version of Pictureshow 3, and I have installed all the involved patches. The skipping MP3s are fine when played in any other players, its just when associated with the player of Pictureshow 3 that they struggle. The specs of these particular MP3s appear to be basically identical to that of the other 75 percent I have, which play just fine in Picturshow 3. The PC is a few years old Dell system (1.7) with "768" of memory. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The problem might be unique to the particular MP3 files. There might be some irregularities with the compression of your MP3. It might sound seamless during playback but the problem will occur if you reencode it just like what you did now.
