Could anybody help me please.
I am using videostudio pro x9 which I have just had to update from videostudio pro x5 due to the windows update.
I have imported a file (mpeg2) the film starts off very smooth but then starts to stutter, the audio is fine, I thought it was because it was MPEG2 so I have converted the file to AVI and it stills does the same, could anybody give me any pointers as to why this is happening.
Thanks
David

Re: Picture Stutters
Can you please right click on the clip in the timeline and copy ALL its Properties here, or take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment.
Is there anything special about where the mpeg-2 came from? Certainly VS has always been able to deal with both standard and high definition mpeg-2, so there was certainly no need to convert it.
In Preferences > General, did you tick the box beside "Show message when inserting first video clip into timeline"? If so, did you get a message asking if you wanted the Project Properties to match those of the clip? If not, tick the box, start a new project and then reinsert the video clip. Do you get that message?
When you play back that clip, have you ticked "Project" or "Clip" immediately below the preview screen?

If it's a large source file then you might try using Smart Proxy to create lower resolution working copy of a larger source file.amcs12 wrote:I have imported a file (mpeg2) the film starts off very smooth but then starts to stutter, the audio is fine
