I would be _immensely_ appreciative if you could shed some of your guidance on the heart of my issue: I purchased (back in November) VideoStudio x8 Ultimate. VSx8 seems incapable of doing what my old version (VSx6) allowed me to do (which is why I kept the old version on my work laptop). Specifically, the same media files I once edited without a problem in the old x6 version will crash VSx8. When I try to load these files into the timeline the application shuts down without any specified error message popping-up on screen. The files in question are 2GB+ sized .MP4 files that are outputted by an overhead document camera (ELMO). Regrettably, I have no choice with the file format the ELMO records in, so I really need the same functionality to exist in VSx8, which is now the only version I am capable of running.
Just for reference; this problem I am having with VideoStudio X8 Ultimate occurs whether I'm using Win7 or Win10, on 3 different computers I have tried.
Thank you so incredibly much for any help with this matter!

You asked this question in http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=58792 so you might want to look at that thread.pacosaurus wrote:When I try to load these files into the timeline the application shuts down without any specified error message popping-up on screen.
