Pentax K-S1 PEF or DNG raw files

I bought the suite Corel PaintShop Pro Ultimate X8 after trying the trial version. I installed Corel AfterShot 2 software with main program PaintShop Pro X8 and then the upgrade patch as required. At installation I choose to display only the raw files and not the jpeg, but when I start the program, the only pictures that can be imported are in jpeg while if I choose manually raw files with the extension PEF or DNG I can not see them. I have a Pentax K-S1 SLR camera (compatible with the software) purchased a few weeks ago and the photos are in PEF or DNG.
Why there is this problem? Help me please, thank you.

I have the same problem using Pentax K-S2. Nor DNG nor PEF are supported!! Please add these camera profiles to Aftershot -- I've bought Aftershot Pro and it is perfectly useless now after upgrading my camera. Or please support converted DNG files or explain other workaround if exists.

I have the same issue with the K3 II which is supposedly supported. JPEGs are fine, PEF and DNG are not visible, though ASP does appear to attempt to generate thunbnails as I see a progress bar at the bottom of the file tree pane.

I suspect it's either the same, or very closely related, issue.

Lightroom 6 and DXO Pro 10 do import these file types so I'm finding I'm using DXO Pro much more than I used to.

The strange thing is that also Corel Paint Shop Pro X8 supports these Pentax cameras with no issue (but it is limited generally in RAW management, obviously). So, Corel HAS the technology to support them but... nothing. Or the ASP and PSP development teams are not speaking one to another... Really frustrating.

PEF and DNG are not visible

Hey Davey, can you shoot me some PEF samples when you've got a few? We're doing some testing in ASP3 and I could use some shots at varying focal lengths, ISO, different lenses, etc. and/or with a color chart. If you can provide some samples, please leave a note below or drop me a PM with a Drive or Dropbox link. Thanks.
