well Terry, indeed your security preferences are high to avoid Chinese based stuff.

These days, instead of asking you to pay for software, which most people won't do, they take payment for advertising and for offering other "free" apps to be installed at the same time as the app you want. If the source is reliable, and this is, you can download the file, and then choose custom install and read each page carefully and say no to all of the other software.
I prefer Freemake, but the download to this is exactly the same.
