CorelVideo continuously crashes, if I buy full version

Am I going to get this problem? I've gotten this problem every day I've used it, more than three times during the 30-day trial. I am now looking to buy a video editing software but I'm scared if I buy Video StudioUltimate, I'm going to still get crashes. Anybody else experience crashes in the trial and ended up buying the full version? Does it still crash or no?

Also, if I buy StudioUlimate 8 but I had the free trial for StudioPro 7, will my projects still work on 8? Or would I have to start from scratch?

Hmmmmm - well I notice you have had repeated crashes with previous versions of Videostudio and recently had to have your computer repaired in the middle of editing a project so I really hesitate to make any promises

I just get the feeling your problems have more to do with your computer or the material your editing than with Videostudio

what exactly is it you are editing

if you do buy the full version either X8 or X9 then it *should* open projects from X7 - but the proviso is what is in the projects and what you did with it

I had to get my computer repaired for another reason (the sound kept going in and out).

I am editing mainly .avi and .mp4 formatted clips. Most of the clips are about 1-3 seconds in length and there is approximately 50 in a video.

Most of them are taken from tumblr, converted online to .avi or .mp4
Some are downloaded from youtube but I've noticed these tend to give problems although they are much more hi-def.

My computer is new, I think I got it in September? I can run league of legends no problem, it's just studio pro always gives me "stopped responding, will close now" message.
