Hi
I have an ongoing project which I haven't had open for a couple of weeks. I attempted to launch VS Pro X7 just now and it won't launch, told me that another user (there are no other users) had Corel running and to close the program before trying to open (see screenshot). I have tried a reboot without effect.
Before I uninstall and reinstall (which I am guessing is required) can I check if there are any other actions I can try first?
Many thanks
Peta

Re: VS Pro X7 suddenly won't launch
If you had looked at a number of very recent posts here, you will have seen that a Windows update in effect made it impossible to open all versions of Video Studio: see http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 31#p321131
If you read through that very long thread, you will see that Corel have provided a hotfix for VS X8 and are still preparing one for X7. In the meantime, the only way of getting around the problem is to uninstall the Windows updates. Instructions for the two updates and their removal are to be found in that thread as well.
The only other way of avoiding the problem would be to upgrade to Windows 10...
