Corel Painter Essentials 5 has stopped working

Post by StephenT »

Corel Painter Essentials 5 will always crash 100% of the time, it will first startup up like normal then say "not responding" then finally "Corel Painter Essentials 5 has stopped working". I've tried the following to fix it:
Run as administrator
Restart computer
Repair from SetupARP.exe
Uninstall/reinstall
Any suggestions?

Probably there is also the problem of the W7 upgrade. The last ulgardes ( ~Febr 12) killed also the Corel Video Studio. Go to the thread and read how to remove those upgrades.

We would have received lots of complaints by now if those Win 7 upgrades had affected PSP X8 or any other program covered by this Board. So far we have not received any apart from the disaster affecting Video Studio. I think we would need to look for other reasons for this problem.

I am not sure, in any case, that you have the right web board. This Board does not normally cover Painter. There is a separate board, requiring separate registration, for Painter Essentials: http://essentialscafe.com/ If you go there, you will hopefully get more assistance.
