A medal should be given to someone

Post by Thordell »

A medal should be given to someone who found the two updates that were responsible for preventing VS from opening in Windows 7.

A. It would be nice to know who found them, and B I'm puzzled to know how the heck do you find which 2 of the 20 odd updates is responsible

Whoever it was I thank them, I had a load of dogs Kennel Clubs names on titles stored in the gallery, I was in the middle of editing dog shows and didn't have the dogs names recorded anywhere else, so couldn't transfer to another editing program.

Not only should a medal be given to the detectives who sorted the offending updates.A decoration of the highest order should be bestowed upon the moderators and admin of this forum. They have helped me and numerous other members out over the years with advice and solutions re Video Studio that has taken up much of their precious time and have made this forum a priceless resource.

My post was aimed at the moderators and admin as I guessed it was one of them that discovered which were the offending updates, I also take my hat off to them for the way they dealt with irate users coming on the forum thinking it was Corel run and venting their spleen, I think they handled it impeccably, well done.

I wish we could take the credit for finding the work around of removing those two updates to get round the immediate problem - but it was one of our members - "Ilene" - in this topic - http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=58668 - - who spent a great deal of time removing and restoring updates until the two rogues were identified .

Then It's "Ilene" we are all indebted to, thank you so much for that commitment, thanks to you I have recovered a lot of work, and can carry on editing, I had gone back on to Serif MoviePlus x6 but I had spent a lot of time setting up titles of dog names on Corel but now I've got them back, thank you once again "Ilene".
