Camera missing

Post by Cirion »

I can see from the AfterShot 2 / AfterShot Pro 2 Release Notes that my camera was added:
Update 2.0.2
New Camera Support
Canon EOS 1200D
Leica T
Olympus O-MD E-M10
Panasonic DMC-GH4
Pentax K-3, MX-1
Sony ILCE 5000, ILCE 6000, DSC-RX1, DSC-RX100 Mark III, A77 Mark II
I have the Sony Alpha A77II sometimes called A77 Mark II, but the correct name is ILCA-77M2 from the EXIF tag and modelnumber.

When I edit a RAW file from my A55V it shows up in the lens correction as Sony a55V and the lens I used.
When I edit a RAW file from my A77II it shows up in the lens correction as Sony Model Lens.

I can select Model, and lens, but the Model is not in the list.

Is the A77 Mark II not supported?

I too have the A77ii, and it definitely is "supported"; that said you would need to change the identification from ILCA-77M2 in each image to SLT-A77V's metadata to have any chance of automatic correction; OR you could copy the A77V's entry in the supportfiles/Profiles/LensProfiles/profile_sony and relabel it with the ILCA-77M2's exif identifier (almost certainly "ILCA-77M2")

So it isn't the case that your camera is unsupported. It's just supported with a bit of effort from the end-user.

If you choose to do this, remember to take a copy of the profile_sony file to another place, so you can re-install it after future updates
