Disk Space And Convert Problem

Post by oka »

I am back trying VS9 again.

I am having DISK SPACE problems. In VS9, after editing the video file, and ready to CREATE DISK, I now write the video to file (ISO) before writing to disk with Nero. Recently, when I try to write the video to file (ISO) I get some errors. This is very confusing for me to understand the mathematics of disk space.

Scenerio 1
(CREATE DISC IMAGE FILE):,
REQUIRED SPACE = 6.78GB
AVALAIBLE WORKING FOLDER SPACE = 12.5GB
Then before writing, it reports and error: “Convert step got some problems!”
or sometimes, “Out of disk space”. I swapped disk with AVALAIBLE WORKING FOLDER SPACE = 198GB, still it give me errors.

Scenerio 2
CREATE DVD FOLDERS – CHECKED
CREATE DISC IMAGE FILE – CHECKED
REQUIRED SPACE = 4.4GB
AVALAIBLE WORKING FOLDER SPACE = 198GB
Still, I have same errors.

Mathematically, I should have plenty of space to “play” with.
The above issues does not happen if I try the same format with VS7.

Scenerio 3
Why is it that when I only checked CREATE DISC IMAGE FILE, two extra folders will be created (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO).

Disk space and rendering problem

Post by bryave »

Actually creating DVD folders would mean creating two extra folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS.
Regarding your rendering problem, why don't you try enabling your DMA for your hard drive. Also, for your PC not to consume too much resources, set color quality to 16-bit high color for your video card. And try adjusting your virtual memory or the paging file size. ^_^
