Using Video Studio 18.6.0.6 in Win 10
I'm placing a 6x4 slide in a 16x9 project and want the slide shown without letterbox.
-I double click the slide and click photo (for options menu)
-If I click "keep aspect ratio (no letterbox)", the slide isn't centered where I want it
-"fit to project size" distorts the slide
-if I click "pan and zoom" and customize, I can zoom both key frames to the same area and same zoom to get the desired effect, however, this is very fussy.
There has to be an easier way but I can't seem to find it.
Is there an easier way?

Re: 6x4 slide in 16x9 project
Sorry, I don't mean to be obtuse but I don't see those options.
Under "Resampling Option", I only see 3 options:
-Keep Aspect Ratio
-Keep Aspect Ratio (no letterbox)
-Fit to project size
Are " fit to HEIGHT and Anchor to center" somewhere else?

Re: 6x4 slide in 16x9 project
It seems that we are talking about different issues.
Your example has the slide in the Overlay track. On that track I can see the options that you mention.
My slide (6x4) is in the Video track and I'd like to fit it to the project size (16x9) without distorting it but I'd like it vertically positioned in a different position than the "Keep Aspect Ratio (no letterbox)" option allows. The "Keep Aspect Ratio (no letterbox)" vertically centers the slide but I'd like to vertically position it more towards the bottom of the slide. I was able to do that with the Pan & Zoom/Customize setting but it is really finicky. I'm looking for a more straightforward way to do it.

double click on the image in the timeline to open the options panel
the options panel has two tabs "Photo" and "Attributes" - by default the panel opens with photo open - change to the attributes tab and then you will see an option for "Distort clip"
click on the distort clip button and yellow handles will appear in the preview window which you can click on and move to change the size of the image - but be careful you do not distort the image
you really would find it much easier if you put the image in the overlay track - put a 16:9 colour block (anything compatible with the image) in the top track to hold every thing in the top track in place

Re: 6x4 slide in 16x9 project
Thank-you again for the help.
I see what you mean. Sizing and positioning the frame is still a little finicky. I was hoping for something like an option that placed a 16x9 frame (justified to the horizontal edges) on slide and I could simply drag it to the desired vertical position. (I also use Photodex ProShow Gold and it does that but I'm looking for a program that is a little more sophisticated than ProShow.)
Oh well, I think I'll just crop my 6x4 slides in Photoshop then add them to my project. For me, that's a little easier and more precise (unless I'm doing something wrong).
Thank-you for the help.

Re: 6x4 slide in 16x9 project
Well you can do as I suggested and put the images in the overlay putting a 16:9 background - something like the following

Re: 6x4 slide in 16x9 project
Proshow gold is a programme made for dealing with slideshows, so works well with stills. I'd suggest you use your own suggestion of cropping to 16:9 in photoshop and then inserting.
