I'm using Video Studio 18.6.0.6 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 PC.
I must be doing something wrong because I just can't figure this out.
I'm preparing a video that has a combination of slides and videos. I want to place text on a slide that cross-fades in and out. I want the title to exactly synchronize with the slide thus fading in and out with the slide.
I could modify the picture to include the text but I'l rather do in in Video Studio if possible.
Here's what I'm doing:
-set the slide to cross fade in and out
-add the text in the title track and adjust the length and placement to match the slide
-double click the title to open the options
-click attributes
-check animation and apply
-select fade
-I only see an option to "fade in" not "fade in and out" When I choose the top left option, it fades in but ends abruptly.
What am I doing wrong?
I'd also like to lock that title to the slide so that it moves with the slide if I adjust the timing elsewhere in the project. I don't see how to do this.
Synchronize Fade in/out with slide?

Re: Synchronize Fade in/out with slide?
Not necessarily doing anything wrong - just not doing it the best way
after you have created the title RIGHT click on the title block in the timeline and choose "Customise Motion"
A new module will open where you can add as many keyframes as you want throughout the duration of the title
at each keyframe you will notice you can set a number of parameters like size / position / opacity etc
presumably you will set size and position the same throughout but you can change the opacity at each keyframe to make the title appear and fade wherever and as quickly/slowly as you wish.
You can lock items in the timeline to items in the top track by using "Ripple Editing" - look to the very left hand edge of the timeline for a number of small padlocks - click on the top one to enable and then the lower ones to lock them and lock the tracks together
