DVD Compatibility Problems

Post by SteveS »

I purchased a Pioneer DVR-A09XL DVD writer which included DVD Movie Factory 3.5 Suite Deluxe. I have an authoring program I use so all I want to do is burn the directories (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS) to the disk. I have been using Burn. Now but I have found the disks to be much less compatible in set top players than when burned on my A03 with PrimoDVD and the same media (Ritek). There is no on-line help as to which file system is the best to use for DVD.

Any ideas?

DVD Compatibility Problems

Why don't you try updating its patch from Ulead's website to fix its compatibility problems. ^_^

Go to pioneerusa.com and update the firmware of your A09. In the firmware page I think there is also a link for MovieFactory 3.5 (with A09) patch.
Who? Me?

I updated the drive right after install with 1.55 which is still the latest.

I couldn't even find reference to version 3.5 on the Ulead site only versions 3 and 4. The DVD MovieFactory 3.0 DL Support Pack states that it applies to Retail and ESD versions (what ever that is)

I thought I might need to update Burn. Now but there appears to be no way to see what version comes with 3.5 as the "about" within Burn. Now only references the DVD MF version 3.5 and a MMC CD/DVD Writing Plug-in version 3.6.18.262
