X5(Paid) & X8.5(Trial) both crash at startup.

I have not used VideoStudio in a few weeks.

Today I attempted to start X5. It crashed at startup.

The event viewer shows

I uninstalled and reinstalled X5 applying the 3 patches. Same error.

I then installed the trial version of 8.5. It crashed at startup with:

I have updated my video driver to NVIDIA's latest (361.75-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe)

It may or may not be related but I was running Firefox 44.0.0 and having all sorts of problems. It turns out it was a FF problem and they appear to have fixed it in 44.0.2.

May all the computer gods bless all your motherboards and their children.
