removal of background railings

Post by geoffcox »

Hello

I am using PSP8 and a trial version of PSPX8

There are some railings in the background of a picture and the horizontal iron bars are either side of the person's head.

How to remove or obscure the horizontal bars?!

Thanks

You could try cloning. Or in X8, select the bars with the selection tool and use magic fill.

I have manged to use the select / magic fill on 2 of the 4 bar areas but now after selecting an area with the free hand selection tool and then selecting magic fill the little picture (better word?) for the tool doesn't change - still the selector tool !?

If you are working on a layered image, make sure that the layer you have selected in the layers palette is not a vector layer, or if a raster layer make sure you have the proper layer selected.

I thought I had posted again - it was my mistake. After selecting the areas I only had to click on the magic fill button and the changes were made!
