Instant Projects suddenly missing this morning

Hide them? I Found them and uninstalled them. I don't know anything about hiding them.

If you read all of Trevors posts you will find he has told you more than once about hiding them and how to do it - this prevents them re-installing again

can I suggest you go back and read all comments in this topic for the last 4 days.

Nevermind. I don't even see a Trevor on here. I'll just turn my updates off so it doesn't update anymore. I understand this is a Corel board and not Windows board.

Hi

Once you have turned updates off, select updates to install.
The list should show those problem updates, right click to Hide updates.

You should be able to set updates to auto.

My Videostudio Ultimate X8 is working perfectly and all of my "Instant Projects" are working perfect too.

All under control except when Windows updates. Then I have to take an hour and uninstall the updates so my videostudio will work. So in the mean time I have my windows updates turned off. There was something about hiding the updates but I don't understand any of that so I just won't update my computer anymore.

Did that and what cured the problem was uninstalling the windows updates

Windows updated again and screwed up my Ultimate X8 again. Installed and ran the so called hotfix for X8 and still may studio is screwed up. Since Corel isn't going to solve the problem and Windows could care less I'm going with a new video editing software. Corel is a waste of my time.

Your problem seems more involved than just a Windows Update issue, I think I mentioned this in an earlier post.
There has to be something else affecting the program.

The original fix for that was to uninstall the updates, Corel then provided a fix that does cure the problem.

Make sure the Hotfix for X8 is installed. I assume the program runs as that is part of the fix.

Now tell us exactly what problems you are having.
View the library and select clips to add to the timeline, do you get any errors


Can you reset the program by re-naming the folder 18.0

There are several 18.0 folders the one we need is located here:-

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)

This folder structure is hidden by Windows Explorer so you have to change the Folder options from Tools – Folder Options – View tab.
Otherwise place %appdata% in the PC Start Search panel to find the “Roaming” folder
Then locate 18.0
Rename that folder to “18.0_old”

When you start the program a new 18.0 folder will be created, you will notice a progress bar importing templates / samples, may take a while to open the program.
