Can you check for hidden updates just to make sure they are two entries.

Go to Control Panel, Windows Updates- select the Restore Hidden Updates, there should be two updates showing.
do you see the two updates?

Then Cancel

There's nothing there. Do you want me to push "Restoring and installing hidden updates"?

Hi

You have to do two things
Uninstall those updates
Then Hide the updates when they next try to install.

Your best option is to change settings to “download Updates but let me choose to install them."

Your hidden updates should show like this.
Once you have hidden tose updates reset the Download updates back to auto (recommended)

I don't show anything in there. Your picture shows two updates and mine doesn't show any.

Hi

Go to Control Panel – Program and features

1 / top left click View Installed Updates, allow panel to refresh
2 / top right Search box – type KB3126593, that should find the update – uninstall
Cancel reboot
3 / repeat for Kb3126587 and uninstall.
Cancel reboot

Close all panels

Go to Windows Updates – check for updates- Hide those updates

Those numbers don't appear anywhere. I guess it's still searching for them?

It appears that the 3 "Instant Projects" that show up on my Videostudeo and work, work because they don't use "Shockwave Flash Object". Every "Instant Project" that uses "Shockwave Flash Object" doesn't work or call up because, for some reason, it isn't being recognized that it's there. I have flash and it works.

I'm no computer geek but it seems to me something is missing that operates the "Shockwave Flash Object"? All of the Instant Projects are still on my computer but their not being recognized as being there. I'm discovering that some of my HD projects aren't working too. Original file [C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X7\EditingStyle\Style\Middle\NTSC\26_HD-Project 06.wvs] doesn't exist. I haven't been able to get any work done since Thursday. I don't know what to do anymore.

Hi

It seems strange that you cannot locate those windows Updates KB3126587 and KB3126593

The updates should be on your pc somewhere, we cannot just delete them

Either they are installed so we should be able to find them in Update History and Program and Features

or they have been Uninstalled and Hidden so should be in Windows Updates - Restore Hidden Updates.
Uninstall 01.jpg
uninstall 02.jpg
If you get this far do not restart PC.
Go to Windows update, check for updates, when it finds them -- view updates - right click to hide the updates

Wow, Lata

That worked. Everything is working so far. I've been able to call up Projects I was working on with "Instant Projects" and they're there. It feels good to get back to work. I hope everything works from now on.

Thanks for being patient with me. This was really, super frustrating!

Again thanks, thanks and thanks!

R.e. the hotfix for VSP, thank you for posting it. It worked for me and VSP8 now will start. However, Corel does not yet list that fix on their website under "Patches & Updates," so the only place that I found this fix was right here in this forum. Will everyone affected even know to look here?

Hi
I guess eventually users will find their way here, we don’t run the Corel Web Site.

The hot fix2 for CVSX8 only allows the program to run, however there may be other problems regarding SWF files, view your graphics library.

For the time being these problems can only be fixed by uninstalling those Windows Updates.

So until Corel create a fix for all problems I doubt they will provide on their site.

Okay now another problem. Everyday Windows comes along and does an update on my computer and puts KB3126587 and KB3126593 back on my computer and once again my Videostudio Instant projects don't work. So I have to take them off again, every day. How can I get windows to not do updates and is that even possible? Doesn't windows know these are messing up Videostudios or do they just not care?

You need to HIDE them on your computer - I understood from previous posts that you had followed Trevors instructions and successfully hid them but obviously not
