1. Up-to-date version of Mercalli with 4K & 2.7K support in Ultimate version like Magix Video deLuxe Ultimate has
2. Since NewBlueFX doesn't support Corel Videostudio anymore but seems to be working on a "consumer" product line like to see the possibility to have more FX in the collection for Videostudio and not necessarily all for free

PIXELAN has a host of inexpensive plugins. But none for VS sadly... support for them would be nice in VS.

There are many FX filters that can be used with VS, Google search to find thempanodirk wrote:1. Up-to-date version of Mercalli with 4K & 2.7K support in Ultimate version like Magix Video deLuxe Ultimate has
Well that's not going to happen, ProDRENNALIN have explained why, see post, http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59629

Time Lapse that is not limited to 10 times normal speed. To create a 200 or 400X speed video I currently have to render the same video clip 3 times.

Just a little more on my wish list. A few people did not think DVD authoring was a good idea but I am a one stop person where possible. I mentioned Adobe encore and got belted. However I believe Sony Video and I know Nero16 video both have a video authoring function. It may not be some peoples want but it is mine. Also Nero can import Flash Video. I cant do that with video studio

DVD authoring is the process of creating a DVD video capable of playing on a DVD player. DVD authoring software must conform to the specifications set by the DVD Forum
Isn't this exactly what VideoStudio does? It's called Share.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
When editing audio and using those little volume nodes to raise/lower audio temporarily within a clip, I'd like to be able to zoom in (or actually type a number) to be able to set the volume of the node. There's like 4 pixels between +15 and -36dB. Good luck setting it to what you actually wanted.
Also the option to display that adjustment in % instead of dB, like you do with the main volume.

I do not understand the reference to 4 pixels, although the slide scale could be longer I see it as long as the audio track is high.
Whilst in Sound Mixer click the Attributes tab to access 100% and fade options.
Then return to SSM tab.
I prefer that option rather than Sound Mixer, if I have to use that I set 100%and Fades as first option.
Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Dual keyframe system as an option, to reduce the editing time when creating pan / zooms.
Why is it important?
- It would grab all the elearning market to produce videos.
- The Babson Survey Research Group reported that 6.7 million students enrolled in at least one online course during the fall 2011 term
- Microsoft, Apple and Pearson recommended an investment of £100 million in online education (119 million euros).
- eLearning market should see estimated revenues of $49.9 billion in 2015
- Actually, eLearning software is bored.
- Corel experience producing high quality video editing with fun filters and effects would grab the eLearning market in a new dimension, make it funny and easy.

https://www.docebo.com/landing/contactf ... report.pdf
How does it work?
- In the program preferences you should be able to select if you want to use [ ] Normal keyframes OR [ ] Double keyframes
- In the Double Keyframes selection, we should be able also to indicate the number of seconds for the separation in between double keyframes (1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds, 4 seconds, 5 seconds or the number indicated by the user).
- If you select Normal Keyframes, the software would work as always. When you insert a keyframe, it would insert just 1 keyframe.
- If you select Double keyframes, it would insert 2 keyframes at once.
- In this case, keyframes are always in groups of two. In other words, you never would have an odd number of keyframes. You will have always an even number 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12... And why groups of two? To have zooms already created with a fixed period of time (very useful for videotutorials). Here this start (1) - KEYFRAME A - Here this end (2)... KEYFRAME B, both keyframes are inserted and separated automatically, in the number of seconds indicated in the program preferences. This save a lot of mouse clicks when editing.
To understand how this work, please, see this picture:

With the double keyframe system, you avoid to add manually every keyframe, that reduce extensively the time to edit videos for eLearning, reaching a new and big range of customers.
To see in action double keyframe system instead single keyframe system, please, watch this video of 11 minutes.

Interesting indeed Xavier,
I welcome any tool no mater how useful it is for me, but I still can't see how magical it will be for average Joe.
You know you have many options in VS on right mouse, when key framing.
(and how Camtasia will react? )

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I would like for each track to have a setting for either "fixed" or "auto-cram-together" mode. What I mean is like the main video track currently works, where you delete a 10 second clip from it, whatever follows is moved 10 seconds toward the beginning to fill in the gap. (I know there's ripple editing but that only functions if you're moving the main track around. I want to auto-fill gaps I'm creating when I chop up only the overlay tracks.)

TIL! That helps tremendously, thanks!lata wrote:Whilst in Sound Mixer click the Attributes tab to access 100% and fade options.

Hi Lift
I can see a reason for doing that, whether Corel can implement that is another matter.
Most users ask for the top track to act like overlays and leave gaps.
The only option is to drag the remaining clips left, Shift + click first and last clip to select.
Otherwise use replace clip option, assuming you have a suitable candidate?
(drag clip from library whilst holding CTRL key – drop on clip)

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
My absolutely only request is please for the love of God add some real color grading tools to VideoStudio. As it stands now I round trip all of my footage through Davinci Resolve and it takes forever. I'm not asking for Resolve's level of color grading options, just color scopes, curves, and lows/mids/highlights; even PowerDirector has 10x better color grading tools than VideoStudio. Real color grading tools should be a native capability for any video editing software, not an afterthought or a plugin. I don't even do any major color grading, just 3 or 4 LUTS for the different types of cameras I use and scenes that I shoot that I could save in VideoStudio would be great.
I guess my only other request would be more professional titles or more options for the built in title editor. I would like a simple interface like Word gives you where you select your font, background, opacity, dimensions, border, etc. then place it wherever you want on the screen. I shoot real estate and promotional videos for a living, professional titles goes a long way to impressing the customer. As it stands now I usually have to make my contact slides and titles in Word, Visio, Paint.NET etc, then export as a PNG and import into VideoStudio...a real pain for the most part.
I know there's some plugins that give you more title options, but my experience with most plugins is they crash VideoStudio, make the playback stutter, have registration problems, have a terrible user interface which is confusing or takes forever to learn, or just when you start figuring them out, to get the better features you have to pay for something.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I do not understand your complaint about the titles in Videostudio - it has facilities to do everything you require - right there inside Videostudio
Use every font on your computer - choose any colour in any shade - set size - set angle - set border/ shadow etc. etc - add any animation you want - put it any where you require - or have it appear and disappear at will - all under your control
