Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
VS X9 already has 8 audio channels + 1 voiceover.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

yes, but unless I am missing something you still cannot have 5.1 AAC audio rendering with xavc-s:bitman wrote:Terfyn wrote:VS X9 already has 8 audio channels + 1 voiceover.
Even if VS would have 999 channels of audio, if the program does not allow you to select 5.1 AAC output to render (6 channels), then it is game over.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
1. In edit - more title tracks that just 2.
2. Wishful thinking, but in titles ability to change to more than one font within one text entry.
3. I burn lots of CDs - view of the burn module is too small, I know I need a bigger screen but ability to have full screen on putting together the burn would help so much. My screen is 21" wide. I need microscope to see chapter titles, is causing me too many typo errors cause I can't see them. The burn process is tricky enough but if it were full screen would be so much easier to use.
4. Also on the burn module, ability to customize menu screen rather than having to stick to only those available in the gallery, unless I'm missing something. Ability to load our own jpeg is good but ability to move it around or resize would be so nice. To get around constrictions of the burn module gallery choices, I have to hide items or move them off the screen. I don't care for gallery choices so I build my own with my own jpegs but am stuck with font alignment and highlight marks of the gallery I choose to modify.
5. My preference, change default music in DVD burn from "on" to "off".
Thanks,
Candy Dougherty

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Hi Candy
Yes I think you are correct and the burner module would benefit being full screen.
The ability to edit the text using maybe a popup panel could also help, certainly the text boxes are a little small.
Titles and Chapter names, a bit of a workround….
For Title names make sure your video files are named correctly as the name will be used on the menu.
For Chapters, once you have set the chapter locations, closing the burner will prompt you to save the project, do that.
Now access Settings - Chapter Points Manager to re-name the points, save the project, then return to the burner module.
Oh whilst in Chapter Points Manager you may wish to create a chapter point at 00:00:00:00, that will be Chapter one, give that a new name.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Hi Trevor, thanks so much for your reply.
I actually didn't know you could have chapters in DVD burn, but good to know if I ever do a project that might need them.
For me, I just have a list of the files, in my case, musical pieces played at the performance so that users of the DVD can play one at a time or click on "play all". It doesn't matter what the file name is as I am able to click on it (forgot if it's right or left click) in the module and change the title and modify font, color, etc. I make changes to each one actually because my file names are generally shorter than what I want to show on the menu with composer's last name, etc. It's this file text change in the module that is especially so small and hard to see. I know I'm probably doing too much work but tend to want to "pretty up" the menu. I'm probably the only one who cares, lol. I think most people probably just click "play all" anyway.
Thanks again,
Candy

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
If you are just using 'titles' Candy (which is what using separate videos produces ) have you thought about using thumbnails on your DVD menus like this - which is 5 completely different performances on one DVD - you can use much bigger text - the text in this first one is actually on the start of each videos and effectively fills the screen when typing it
but how your menus look is up to you - make your own personal ones - again you can make the titles text as big as you want (as long as they don't mess with each other)

Brian, that's great! Where do I find to make the thumbnails and make the customized menu like you show?
thanks so much,

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Should have mentioned before - you can only do this if you are making 'standard' DVD's (normal or widescreen) - you cannot use thumbnails for Blu-ray or AVCHD disks
start by watching this video - - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmvWu0lw6G4
it was made in X5 so the very beginning is a little bit different - but once the burning module is open it is the same
my method for the school one is to make an individual video for each group with a title at the beginning filling the screen - that is what shows in the thumbnail
slightly less flamboyant one used the previous year

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I wish Corel would make VS9 work with windows 10. All other programs I use on my computer work except for VS9. I hope I can get my money back for the download and switch back to VS6. At least it was working.

Please contact Corel Support as CVSX9 does work with Windows 10, so if you are having problems then Corel need to know.
They do have a chat Line on the web, not that I have used that, or their Facebook account.
But either way you should Contact Corel and get your problems fixed?

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
And bear in mind that there are a lot of other users out there -- including me -- who have no trouble getting X9, X8, X7, X6 and even versions below that, to work properly with Win 10. So pretty obviously there is something else which is causing your problem. Maybe Corel will be able to help. If not, we need more details.
