Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
The Smartsound plugin has been around a long time for Pinnacle. When they decided to drop Smartsound in favor of Scorefitter (Auto Music in VS), Pinnacle's own alternative to Smartsound, the public forum protested greatly. It was continual and relentless. Many Pinnacle users had a nice financial investment in Smartsound music and were not happy about the discontinuation of support of it.
Then came the Smartsound plugin for Studio 15 (over 6 years ago). That same plugin still works today in Pinnacle. As a matter of fact, Express Tracks is far superior in use than Quicktracks that was used in VS before being discontinued.
I don't know how many people have an investment in Smartsound music, but I do. I did not go to X8 because there was no SS support. X9 has a good feature set and I can use Sonicfire Pro for SS editing.
Scorefitter (Auto Music) has a very limited selection of music, and it's library never expanded upon what is available now.

Here are my 5 wishes for version 10
1- More light flares (like Video Copilote), this is a big wish I know
2- More light transitions
3- Particle effects
4- More HD elegant (video backgrounds)
5- Much more Bluray menu styles
Thanks a lot

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Required: Volume control for the music/audio file selected in the menu options for DVD/Blu-ray disk burning in the Share/burner module.
Right now, you can select the music/audio file to replace the default item, trim the file, do fade in/out, but the one thing that's not there is a volume control. To adjust the sound level, exit VS, make the desired sound file louder or softer with another tool like audacity, or even another video editor, save the result and then insert it into the menu compilation for burning disks.
Doing it all in VS certainly means you don't have to have a competing program to do this simple thing with.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Select multiple items across different tracks, copy, then drag to a place on the timeline not shown (to the end, say), and paste all copied items maintaining their relative positions. Can't be done now. Not even with one item. Copy and paste multiple items is not possible, however copy and paste one item is. But the copied item must be first dropped to a blank area on a track currently visible on the timeline, then picked back up and dragged to outside the visible timeline, then pasted. No direct copy and drag outside visible timeline is possible.

Increase the number of allowed folders in the library. I have a need for a lot more while creating the English class lessons for my students. I could use double the amount currently available.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Free multiple items selection option is the must important option that is missed from our loved "VideoStudio"
For example if I need to replicate 3 items from any track but not to select all items in that track, or selecting 3 ore more items from different tracks to replicate them or whatever.

Allow option for text backdrop to rotate with the text. Right now as the text rotates the backdrop simply gets larger to accommodate the rotation of the text. The backdrop should be allowed to stay parallel with the text as the text rotates, rotating the backdrop as well, keeping the same backdrop size.

Add the ability to cancel the auto music render operation. Now you can escape to render in background, but you can't cancel the render operation. If you mistakenly add the wrong music to the timeline, which I often do for some reason, and it's a long clip, the render takes quite a while to do. It would be nice to be able to cancel the operation and start again.

Hi,
I am looking for the VST effects and instruments with native UI for mixing like a DAW. Please refer to Sony Movie Studio:

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Every Manufacturer has to have a selling point and VST looks comprehensive but can you not do everything you want using either the Audio Filter or the audio effects under the audio button in FX? Plus VS gives the option to download audio files which then may be processed in an audio editor such as Audacity before reloading. IMO this is far more flexible in processing audio and can be a better option unless you only need the power given by the Sony module.
There are many things that other programmes do better than VS and we can buy those programmes if we want. For example, I have Pinnacle Studio and Cyberlink PowerDirector loaded.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
VS can handle some VST's.
Just put them in the VST folder under the aft_plug folder. You will find there all the NB audio filter.
I wrote "some" as you can't realy know in advance how do they show in VS. I had few that worked few didn't.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Hello to all. The moderators do not delete please. I created a thread to discuss this problem, but so far no one or anything is not answered. So I wrote in your topic, to fix a problem in the next version of the program.
"The problem of shift of the cursor after the removal of the video fragment."
Guys, why when in the timeline cut the clip, the cursor is not moved to the beginning of the fragment. That is, the video was cut into two parts , the first part is removed and in its place is shifted to another piece of video, but the cursor stays in place and does not move in the beginning of a new fragment.

My wishes. Compatible with PluralEyes, to sync multiple separate slices of video. I want to make a VS project open in the program DaVinci Resolve.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Your wish to sync multiple video has been addressed with the multi-camera option. Multi-camera can be used for any sets up to 6 of clips which may or may not be recorded at the same time.
It is usual when cutting a clip to be removing a small section of video within the same shot so the cursor stays where it is to allow you to move easily to the second cut point. This may not suit what you want but, as you can move the cursor so easily, it may not be necessary.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10 - Batch Conversion
I wish the option "same as the first video clip" in the Batch Conversion too.
In German: Ich wünsche mir die Option „gleich wie erster Videoclip“ auch in der Stapelumwandlung.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
The feature of showing a green check mark on the icons in the on-screen library for clips which have been added to the timeline is very helpful. However, when a project (.vsp) is added to the on-screen library (File, Insert Video to Library, select a .vsp project), the icon which is created for this project does not show the green check mark when this project is added to the timeline (whether as a project or as a 'flattened" video). Please add this feature to show the green check mark on the icons in the on-screen library which represent a complete .vsp project added to the timeline.
