Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Sorry, I've already right clicked every picture and video in my small project and selected the Fit to Screen option, so I can't post a picture of my editing screen... but each picture and video WAS showing in the middle of the edit screen, with a large black area all around... and that is what was written to DVD
After telling each picture and video to Fit to Screen, my finished DVD plays full screen on my TV
As for the ripple editing, I may have clicked the wrong option... but I could select the video track OR the title track, but not both at the same time to move everything at once... I'll test that another time... now it's time to go show my wife the DVD

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Unless you are doing overlays in your video projects, all your clips should go in the top track. These will always fill the screen. The video tracks below the top track are overlay tracks and the clips you place there will appear in that smaller format in the centre of the screen unless you have ticked in Preferences to always make the inserted tracks Fit to Screen. See attached image.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I only have one simple request ...
Give screen capture some love!
First trawl through the forums and see the many, many threads about problems with it, then address those.
Secondly give it a few more functions and options, not a lot, but enough to bring it up to date with competitors.
Apart from that I think Corel are on the right road with VS.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Well... for the type of editing I do, this software, to me, has become soooo perfected over the years (I began editing using the old Ulead MediaStudio Pro back in the 1990's). Going forward my only need is stability and the most codec compatibility they can pack into it.
I do feel however, that if they could refine the audio envelope markers to a wider dynamic.. what I mean is finer level control when using marker points to adjust audio levels etc.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
The ability to draw a straight line in Painting Creator. And if possible basic shapes such as circles or rectangles. Would like the ability to do this directly to video and/or to Freeze Frame.
This item has been listed on VideoStudio wishlists for years! Wish they would make it happen.

Freeze Frame is available from the main timelines, right click a video clip and choose Freeze Frame

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Hi Trevor, sorry for confusion, but I'm looking for the ability to draw straight lines directly on the video and/or the freeze frame. So with Painting Creator, I can draw on video and freeze frame clips, but it's all freehand.

This would be my top priority too, upgrade the editor code to make better use of the memory, CPU, and graphics hardware in my computer to make the editor module faster.yentrangkorea wrote:Update the editor module to use memory beyond 4 GB.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
A lot of us still use keyboard shortcuts for a lot of things. I use Ctrl+V at least fifty percent of the time when I am wanting to Paste... Just as I use Ctrl+C to copy (and Ctrl+X/Ctrl+V to cut and paste).

Hi
I also use keyboard Ctrl + C/V for copy/paste, but must admit if mouse right click for copy/paste worked i would probably use that option.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Thanks Ilene
It is true that some filters do not support right click, I have not taken note of which types but could be the NewBlue range. A quick tests seems to confirms it is NewBlue
Most if not all FX filters provided by Video Studio program does allow right click.
Where right click does not work then Ctrl+ can be used?
