Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I also feel like i spent hundreds of dollars for the new blue... All was perfectly fine in VS 7... And yet corel forces you to do the upgrade, as they dont support 7 anymore and really there are very neglible differences betw the versions. Probably my bad for installing 64 bit version if 9 when i could have installed 32bit...had i know the NB issue i might have? But i have this new, faster, better computer w win 10 and i guess i was led to believe that 64bit would run better. Havent worked w it enough to prove that, but i literally spent days setting up my 9 libraries, and im not so eager to start all over again (uninstalling 9 64 bit and re installing 9 32 bit?!).

Not strictly true, Pixelan have had discussions with Corel, but Corel weren't interestedasik1 wrote:Pixelan are much better and cheeper than any NB , and still unfortunately they don't care about corel.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I use an overlay with the same settings (size, chroma key, etc) over and over and over in videos I make. It would be great if we could save these attributes to reapply as we add tracks in new videos. (I know you can copy paste attributes within the same video, but you cannot copy/move those attributes from one video to another.)

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I would like Corel to trim down similar functions. E.g. Picture in Picture, I find that the Custom Motion, on the right click function is much easier to use than PIP. The ability to save the movement to the Path Library is a time saver as well. I think most of PIP functions can be achieved using normal Auto Pan & Zoom and Custom Motion.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I very seldom use motion in PiP, so why trim it down? You don't have to use it if that is your choice. Pan and Zoom is different than Picture in Picture and what you suggest would just confuse people who have been using PiP to now have to use P&Z to create a simple PiP. At least for me, that is not simplification, but obfuscation. Across all editing platforms is a common terminology that is used.

This is sad.... Pixelan has plenty of inexpensive plugins that are pretty good.RobertOZ wrote:Not strictly true, Pixelan have had discussions with Corel, but Corel weren't interestedasik1 wrote:Pixelan are much better and cheeper than any NB , and still unfortunately they don't care about corel.

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
Still VERY new to VS9, but did read to see if what I'm going to say has already been said in this message, and did not find it... so
My first project (vacation pictures and video) was done with "all default" settings... and I only found out AFTER I burned a DVD that the 1280x720 video from my camera playing inside a "box area" in the editing screen would carry over to the DVD
As soon as I played the DVD and it was not full screen, I started searching and found the "Fit to Screen" option in preferences... and the fact that I had to manually change each and every picture and video that had already been loaded
I would like for the "Fit to Screen" to be the default setting when the program is installed
2nd thing is that while looking at various features, I wanted to add the count down timer at the beginning (just for fun)
I found that I could right click a video OR title track to select everything and move it to the right to make a space for the count down
But, I could not select BOTH the video and title tracks at the same time to move them together, so moving one track after the other to make everything fit took a bit of trial and error
So... add the capability to right click and select more than one track at a time, to be able to move everything at once

Re: Wishlist for VideoStudio X10
I am not quite sure what you are talking about in the red highlighted section of your post. All video on the main track is full screen and there is no option for "fit-to-screen". If you are referring to the "boxed area" when you add video/photos to the overlay tracks, then that should be the default, in my opinion. I certainly would not want the overlay to cover the main track initially.John-T-Smith wrote:Still VERY new to VS9, but did read to see if what I'm going to say has already been said in this message, and did not find it... so

As to your 2nd item, that is already in the program and is called ripple editing. You have to enable it though for all the tracks that are in use. If you move your cursor over the lock icons on the left of the track panels, you should see the enable/disable info message.
