I'm looking to buy a new computer. How would I know what kind of video card would be good to work with VS6 or higher. So far I have it working on a 2007 computer with only 1.5 gb of ram. It works but not all that great...but acceptable. i would really like it to be faster though and less choppy.
Oh, BTW...the info on the right for my computer specs is outdated. That computer broke and I'm using my old computer. It sucks but it's all I have until I get the new one.
Compatible computer for VS6 or higher

Any current 1000$ computer will be better then your old one, laptops are not recommended for heavy video work.
You computer needs are in direct relation to your video work loads.
No need for any fancy GPU VS don't use it so much.

Hmmm....Do you mean a $1000.00 computer? I'm not anywhere close to affording that. The computer I had with the specs on the right was working great with VS until it fell and shorted out the motherboard. (at least that's what I was told that probably happened). And that computer was only $300 brand new.
Also, the GPU is not that important? I figured since it's a video program, it would very much depend on the GPU.

My 1000$ tag was just a reasonable price for the job in hand.

Re: Compatible computer for VS6 or higher
I'm looking to buy a new computer.
Go to the Corel website and, under VideoStudio, you will see a minimum specification for running X8/X9. Print this off and use for a basis when choosing a new machine.
I took this list to my local dealer and he supplied a PC with a better spec than the list.
Worth a try.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
