VideoStudio Pro X8.5 upgrade

I have the VideoStudio Pro X8 Ultimate and I can not upgrade to V8.5. I have run the hot fix as well as the downloaded upgrade.but when I run the files I get this message: " The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup ill terminate.

Why is that?

I have windows 7pro

That message tells you that the upgrade is already applied

what version number are you showing when you select "Help >> About"

The latest version is 18.6.0.6

another clue that the programme has updated is the appearance of a programme called "MyDVD" on your desktop

Sorry it appears that it has been upgraded because the Version shows now as being 18.6.0.6
