ASP Won't Run After upgrade to Version 2.4.0.119 from 2.2

I had been using AfterShot 2 Pro installed from a DVD that came with PSP 8X. The ASP version was 2.2.0.29. All was well until I upgraded to Version 2.4.0.119 which came as a download from Corel. Clicking on the desktop icon for ASP results in a message " AfterShot 2 is already running. Only one instance allowed at a time". I have tried uninstalling the older version manually and installing, I have tried installing the trial version at the recommendation of Corel Support. It gave me the same result. If I uninstall ASP, new version manually and install off my DVD, ASP works fine.
My support case number is 02530902. It's been a few days since I've heard from them.

Has anybody else had this problem? Any suggestions to try? I have attached the log file for those who understand it.

In all my installs and uninstalls I didn't realize that my AfterShot Pro had changed to just AfterShot. This is being discussed on another thread by others.
