Freezes on opening multiple files (Win 10, X8)

The entire program (not system) freezes when I try to open more than one file. It doesn't matter if it's only 2 or 20. It freezes. Anyone else have this problem? Surely this would have been found in beta testing, so I can't believe it's an actual bug.

My system stuff is on my user info. No need to repeat it here.

ETA: PSP also crashes when it attempts to recover from the previous crash.

I'd have to say it's not a bug or everybody would be complaining about it. Is this an issue you have had ever since you installed X8, or did it start some time after that? Do you have any previous version of PSP installed and, if so, does it have the same problem?

Also open up your task manager and see if you can see what is using up your CPU.
You could also do a reset of PSP (start with Shift key held down). Save any work space customisations you may have.

Not only an excellent suggestion, but it also reminds me that sometimes PSP leaves a process running after it has been closed. Make sure that, before you start PSP again, you check with Task Manager to see if there is a Corel process running, even if it doesn't seem to be taking up much, if any, CPU resources. If so, end that task before opening PSP.

I failed to mention that I did that. Nothing is. Again, it's only when opening multiple files. As a reminder, it doesn't freeze up my system, only PSP.
