Adjusting specific colors?

Post by Bow Commander »

Hey all, sorry for the newbie question, but can someone tell me how to adjust individual colors on a photo? I'd like to increase /decrease whites, greens, reds, etc. Individually but can't seem to find it.

Hi Bow Commander,
try this :
-> Edit mode
-> Adjust
-> Brightness & contrast
-> Histogram adjustment
-> Edit -> Colors
-> Red ... etc.

Other tools are available for your task and I suppose other posters will give their advice... :)

Another option is - Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Hue Saturation Lightness. Go to the Edit drop down menu. Select a colour to near what you want to change. ie yellow. Use the left hand slider to increase or decrease the colour. Use the handle in the colour wheel to adjust the colour range. You can keep repeating these actions with various colours and adjustments to get just what you need.

Thank you for your responses! I'll give both a try!

My friend uses Capture One and it looked so user friendly for color adjustments. I'm hoping I can make Pro8 work similarly.
