Stop motion import TGA programm crash
I once had a problem with the import image sequences. http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=58601
If I import PNG or TIFF okay. But when importing TGA images the program crashed. Sometimes in silence, sometimes a displayed message type "Memory not readable."
I have no problem when insert any of this images in timeline as still image.
In other program this TGA files opened without the problems.
I try to X8 64bit and X6 32bit programs.

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
I tried to save the video as *.uis. When as image to use uncompressed TGA format all goes well, but if checked RLE compression, program falls if add this video on timeline. As a module with error displayed U32MISC.DLL.
In CVS X6 (32bits) it work correctly.

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
Ekkl, if you zip the first 10 of these TGA's for us to download, we can try on our systems

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
First 10 frame. But VS crashed if add any amount of images.
You can make so. Add on timeline any image. Them press Share, as format select *.uis in option select TGA (32bit) with RLE compression. (If file without compression, all works correctly)
If add this videofile to timeline, program (X8 64bit) crash to, but X6 32bit work without problems.

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
Hi ekkl
Thanks for the samples
I used X8 32 bit program
Using Edit Tab
Added the clips to the timeline.
Select all
Right click to change photo duration to 4 frames
Played ok
No Crashes.
Do you have crashes using the above?
Using Capture Tab
Stop Motion
Import Images
Corel stopped working.
There is a problem with X8 for some users, this is associated with SP3.
I think affected by 32 bit v 64bit + Windows versions make it difficult to fix.
I can run 64bit without problems, 32 bit gives me problems. I will re-install 64 bit to test your images again.
Corel are aware of problems with the program and are working on a fix, seems to be taking them a while though?????????????
Your issue could of course be specific to the tga images, do you have any other issues with the program when not using tga images?

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
If I add TGA to timeline I have no problem to.
I have problem only when use capture track motion.
I try X8 64bit and X6 32bit VS. Problem is same.
I have same problem when add to timeline *.avi compressed with ProDADcodec http://www.prodad.com/home/products/vid ... 14306.html in this program.
Sometime program crash in opening process, sometime in editing process (when I move the clip in timeline)
In X6 32bit all works...
PS. How I can quickly convert TGA to PNG saves alpha channel? I try bath-convert FastoneImageVeiwer, but transparent where lost (change by black)

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
Is that what you wish to do, once images are in timeline select all, right click and change colour/photo duration to 4 frames ish.ekkl wrote:If I add TGA to timeline I have no problem to.
Play that, is that the effect you need.
You do not have to use UIS file.

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
Trevor you are correct but unfortunately this can only be done on the video track images not as overlay.
Why? only God can tell.

What I don't understand is
why is ekkl trying to import standard still images using Stop motion ?????????????/
he said at the end of this topic http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=58601 - that he had successfully imported the still images

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
Because he works in a proper way. And if VS got a feature to import a sequence ekkl wants to use it.BrianCee wrote:What I don't understand is

Re: Stop motion import TGA programm crash
Insert photo - - - select - - - shift+select - is the way to get a series of still images into the timeline
BUT
if the tga images are in a uis - why is he not importing a uis to the timeline - he seems to be playing with .tga images
if he has a .uis then the correct procedure is "Insert Video >> .uis " - so he is not doing things correctly
it is not how we travel which is important - what is important is to reach your destination safely

then change duration in top track, then drag to overlay track, and if that stops the crashes.
By the way I also tried png images with no problems
