Slow loading of images from folder in ASP 2

Slow loading of images from folder in ASP 2
At long last I have started to go through my Australian trip photos and I have noticed that the folders are taking a long time to load images into the preview pane, particularly when scrolling. So much so I have reverted to ASP 1. I am using an i5 laptop on Win10. Just updated to 2.4 and it is still loading slowly. Is anyone else finding this issue?
