Are PSD files fully functional in PSP X8 ?

Post by TwoRails »

Is PSP X8 Ultimate fully functional with ALL PSD files?

I currently have X6 Ultimate and when I open a PSD file, only the top layer is opened in PSP. I Googled the problem and found that X6 can utilize only "Simple" PSDs and Not "Complex" PSDs.

I really need this functionality or there's no sense to upgrade...

Thanks.

PSP cannot handle all features in a PSD because not all features in a PSD exist inside of PSP. Basic layers, and blend modes are supported. If paths are included these are converted to Raster. For full support of PSD, you need Photoshop.
