PSPX4 upgrade to X8

Post by Caroline »

Hello,

I have recently installed Windows10 and PSPX4 is not running smoothly, so I want to upgrade to Corel PSP X8.

But I defenitely need the 32 bits versions because of the plugins that aren't working in the 64 bits version.

Can you tell me please - before I upgrade (so upgrade, no completely new version) - if it's possible to choose between 32 and 64 bits while installing?

Thank you very much.

If you purchase the PSP X8 program and install it, the default is to install both the 32 and 64 bit versions of the program. Some have installed only the 32 or the 64 and later regretted it.
Was yur X4 fully updated with the Service Packs? There were 3 of them and it should read under the Help > About as 14 .3.0.3
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867

Thank you for your answer.

I updated X4 with SP2; with SP3 it wouldn't started at all anymore. So I removed X4, installed again en updated only with SP2 . It will run, but I can't save Images anymore in PSP- or JPG files.
I can only save as PNG of PSD file and I need the PSP and JPG option also. So that's the problem with X4 and Windows10 on my computer and so I thought I upgrade to X8, but I def. need the 32 bits version.

I understand I I purchase X8 I can choose between 32 en 64 bits, but is that possibility also with a upgrade from X4 to X8?

If you read what hartpaul said Caroline - X8 (new or upgrade) will install BOTH 32 and 64 bits by default - you can then use either as you wish

but you will not be eligible for the upgrade if you only have X4 - you need at least X6

Owww :? When I shut down X4 I get a pop-up to buy the upgrade for $29,99... so that is strange.
I have to buy the full new version If I understand correctly?

If it's offering you an upgrade at $29.99 you can always try the link and see if it will give you the upgrade price.
