what is maximum videos per menu ?
In Mydvd as far as I can see you can only put a maximum of 4 videos for each menu. I want 17 videos on one menu and for them to play automatically. Is that not possible with Corel MyDVD ?

Re: what is maximum videos per menu ?
Sorry Delboy that is not possible.
MyDVD uses a max of 4 titles per menu page, then it creates additional pages for other titles.
For 17 titles you would need 5 menu pages
Video Studio X8 can do 9 titles per page (I think) but that depends on the template you choose, most use 8 (customised)
There are some templates provided by forum users in the download section.
Some text menus having up to 30 links.
I am sure some thumbnail menus having 20.
Ulead Video Studio 9 ( that’s old) could customise thumbnail menus to use 12 titles per menu, that’s the max the program has ever provided.

Hi
Video Studio will only use 8 or maybe 9 links / titles per menu page
rjkok67 Has provided some menu templates here using more titles per page

Re: what is maximum videos per menu ?
Hi Delboy
A few ways but the easiest may be to copy them to your Favourites folder here:-
C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\18.0\Favorites\16x9\Favorites
Unfortunately that folder does not exist till you first Customise and save a template.
How....
Open the burner module
Choose a template from the gallery – Edit Tab
Customise – change anything on preview screen
Below screen now shows “add to Menu template”
Ok
Now find the Favourites folder and paste the UFO and any other associated files?
Favourites should show in gallery.
Post Updated..................
This trick also seems to work?
Create a new folder here:-
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X8\Content\Menu Template\16x9\Delboy
Then add the UFO files to that folder
The Delboy category should show in the burner gallery.

Re: what is maximum videos per menu ?
thanks but I am still getting nowhere. When I am in the customize screen there is no option to paste anything. I assume you mean in the dropdown "Image/video" box I select the .ufo file. If I do that then the new .ufo menu is just mixed with the existing menu. Even if it didn't how do I link the videos I have added to the the buttons on the new menu ?
Even apart from that when I go back and select the new menu although I can see the new .ufo image in the thumbnail it doesn't appear in the preview screen.

Hi Delboy
Have you managed to create and find the Favourites folder?
Or did you create a “Delboy” folder?
Did you copy the UFO to that folder?
Does the favourites/delboy show in the gallery containing the template.
Which template UFO are you trying to use, then I can try on my pc?

Re: what is maximum videos per menu ?
yes I had no trouble loading it and it shows up in favorites. I haven taken the .ufo file from this url at the top of the page. All the templates have the same result

If it is showing in the favorites in the gallery then just click on it and it will appear in the preview - -- see below
if it is not showing in Videostudio you should try shutting Videostudio down - wait a couple of minutes - then restart Videostudio

Hi
I don’t understand, your image does not look the same as I downloaded.
What is the actual name of the ufo file.
Try this one, copy to your favourites folder

Re: what is maximum videos per menu ?
That's fantastic. I am almost there with one more problem which is how to put in a sub menu.
The top menu should have 2 links... one straight to a video .... no problem
the other link would need to go to the favorite menu I have chosen. I can't see how to do that

Re: what is maximum videos per menu ?
Hi
Unfortunately, the authoring does not include many functions, just a basic menu.
Then again it is a basic home editing suite and if you need more then you would have to spend a little more on a more professional program.
The menu creates a link for each file/video added to the burner module, this creates the Title menu.
Each Title can have chapter points applied, creating chapter menus / aka Sub Menus
If you do that
When we play the disc it first shows the title menu, play all is available, but selecting a title will access the Sub-Menu for that title allowing us to play a chapter.
The movie will then play to end of title…
There are some navigation controls via the Settings Cogwheel, lower left.
They control the titles not chapters.
The navigation controls set what happens after playing a title.
If choose return to menu then that will happen after playing any title allowing us to choose another title to play.

Re: what is maximum videos per menu ?
Sorry but I don't understand. Are you saying that it just can't be done with videostudio or that it can be done by applying chapter points?
I have added the short videos to the menu maker and they were automatically made into chapters. So now what ?
