no video image on preview screen

hi all!

i cant seem to get the preview image, its just black. the red light on my ads capture device lights up.

the funny thing with this problem is that it all used to work fine so i am putting the correct video source into the ads device.

any ideas guys???

Go into the Preferences and make sure that the Playback Target is set to the Preview Window.

what ads device is it? I have the DVD Xpress, and it does the same thing in Capwiz, the program that came with it, I just toun off my comp, unplug the device, turn on the computer, wait until it is all booted and plug it in again, then capture. It usually works.
