Having an issue when I start PSP X8 the monitor changes to a yellowish tint and dulls a bit.
In a minute or so in PSP X8, the Eizo ColorNavigator 6 pops up a warning report with the following:
_______________________________________________________________________
ColorNavigator has detected the change of video card gamma.
ColorNavigator cannot adjust properly when video card gamma changes. Select action when video card gamma has changed.
1. Reset to default.
2. Show message.
3. Ignore.
_______________________________________________________________________
Fwiw, I selected #1 above and ColorNavigator 6 resets to the default and the PSP X8 screen looks much better, after it sees me mess of the PSP X8 color management made.
I've unchecked "Enable Color Management" in PSP X8, but it still takes over and ruins the default setting when started. In a while, thankfully, ColorNavigator 6 recognizes the PSP X8 color management mess and repairs the PSP X8 takeover when started and it looks better me from selecting #1 above. This is not a problem with AfterShot 2-64, just PSP X8.
How do I stop PSP X8 from changing the color and gamma settings when first started?
Thanks.
Mack

I have the same problem too. I'm using the dispcalGUI to apply the color-profiles. I have to re-apply color-profiles after I start the PaintShop Pro.

Unfortunately, my experience by following the PSP forums and newsgroups since the Jasc days seems to indicate that PSP has always had color issues if any type of color management is used.

Yeah. I think you're right on that historical bit. I would have hoped they got it right by now, but seems not.JoeB wrote:Unfortunately, my experience by following the PSP forums and newsgroups since the Jasc days seems to indicate that PSP has always had color issues if any type of color management is used.
I just opened the same portrait in sRGB in Photoshop and same one side-by-side in PSP X8 on the same screen and they look different even though they are both claiming sRGB in Preference settings too. So who to believe for final image?
Why PSP X8 alters the default settings and why the Eizo Color Navigator 6 software complains about PSP X8 altering even the gamma on starting up is disturbing. Even the monitor knows something is wrong with it. One shouldn't need a $3,000 monitor to fix it or tell you something is messed up.
