Re-installing PSP

Post by CarlB »

Hi Guys....
I'm Carl from Upstate NY. I've had version 8 of PSP for about a month now.

But I have a problem ....I had to re-install win 7 recently and with it went
my original install of psp8. I had installed a copy(psp8) on a USB but when I went
to re-install, the computer said that corecmd.dll wasn't on the computer.
I know that the dll is a PSP file, not a windows file. So, is there a service
pack that I should in-or reinstall? Thanks, Carl

Re-installing PSP

Post by CarlB »

I wanted to post a note to tell you that I figured out the "re-install" of PSP8.
First of all, I contacted Corel who, even though I didn't get all the info from
them, DID get me in the right direction, so thanks, Corel.

My situation was....I got the general information , in the beginning, from
Corel. But the installation stalled. I tried several times to install UNTIL...
when I realized where the stall was (which file), I googled the next later
version of the file that wouldn't load. I then installed THAT FILE....which
over-rode the older file and I was able to finish my reinstallation. I hope
this information helps someone. Carl
