Audio Error - Error 19711:9:3

Post by robertxdb »

Hello
I have been having errors with VideoStudio X8 where I get the aforementioned error. Stating: "The specified format is not supported or cannot be translated. Use the Capabilities function to determine the supported formats."
This has been happening ever since I've gotten the new Corsair VOID RGB Wireless headphones. I'm at a lost in what to do. Reinstalled the software and checked to update drivers, all up to date. If you need, I am running the latest Windows 10 and it is 64 bit. This error happens when I attempt to modify any file when it comes to audio.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm at a bit of a loss, though, to know what your headphones might have to do with the problem. Did you have to install some other software to get the headphones to work properly? Or do the headphones have a microphone which you use to record voiceovers, and it is the latter which are returning the error message?

Or does the problem happen with any audio from any source?

What is the version and build number of your Video Studio?

Thanks for responding!

When it comes to the software, there is a program that can modify attributes of the headset, but it wasn't a prerequisite for hearing. There is though a USB dongle I must attach to hear anything. The headsets do have a microphone. The error happens when I modify any asset (video, audio) like changing the volume, or adding an audio effect to my project. I did test my theory of plugging in earphones, and sound did come out, but one of the earpieces are broken (hence my purchase of the headsets). When using any other editing software (Windows Movie Maker) it appears that everything is working fine, modified the audio and no error. But I don't want to use that crash-inducing program. The version of my VSX8 is 18.6.0.6 (64bit Pro)

Hope this helps, if you need anything else, please tell!
