Scanner Resolution
Can anyone tell me please if there is a way to get more than 600dpi - is this maximum set by PSP or my Scanner?

My understanding is that scanning dpi is set by the actual scanner. Your scanner documentation should tell you what the maximum dpi achievable is.
Either way I would caution about going higher as all you are going to get is detail you don't want!!
