Copying several DVDs

Post by Brumble Buffin »

I want to copy my project to 6-8 DVDs. You can use the "Create Disc Image" tool to get a (*.iso) file and use it for this. Is there an advantage to doing it this way? And is there any downside?
Thanks!

Hi

No Downsides

You can play the ISO using VLC Media Player which will also play the menu structure.
If quality is ok burn the ISO to disc - no more coasters

Tools - Burn from Disc Image
Import the ISO and choose to burn 6 copies

Same quality on disc as on Disc Image, no further conversions of the video

I generally use Iso option

Just to clarify a point: when you do the Create Disc Image, the .iso is a COPIED file, correct? You still have your original .vsp project file?

I don't want to get myself into a giant "oops!"

Yes indeed - just like when you burn a DVD straight from the timeline the .iso file is an entity all by itself - nothing will happen to your .vsp - you will still have it - for ever if you wish

also when you create discs from the .iso ( Using "Tooks >> Burn from disc Image) it is copied to the DVD - so you keep the .iso for ever burning as many DVD's as you wish into the future
