Issue importing mp4 files
I have been recording gamepley on my gaming console with an el gato hd 60 capture card and have te mp4 files in a folder but when i try to import them to videostudio x5 it says the file has no video content and will only allow me to insert them into audio sections of the timeline i have been fiddling with it for several hours and need help. Also i came across a similar post to mine however there was no solution found to the issue so any input would be very helpful thank you.

Re: Issue importing mp4 files
I should imagine the codec used to produce the files from your capture card are incompatible with VideoStudio.
Try converting them to another file type, such as a std h264 mp4 file, with a std frame rate and frame size.
Capturing in large screen sizes and high frame rates won't help with compatibility, so changing screen size to s standard video size often helps, such as 1920x1080 etc.

Re: Issue importing mp4 files
There are many free programmes on the internet which will convert one video format to another
one which I have found to be quite good and reliable is 'Format Factory' which you can download from here - http://format-factory.en.softonic.com/
after you have installed it you import your video file and can then export it in any other format - you might like to try mp4 first because that will then give you a similar file to what you have but made using a codec from your PC which Videostudio will recognise - but I would strongly suggest you change the output name - say just put a 1 at the end so that it does not overwrite your original.
when you have a new file try importing that to Videostudio
