Copy rated photos to a hard drive folder

Post by Jim L »

Hi,
A similar question was asked early in 2015 with no reply. This is an issue which I'm sure will be of interest to many users.
I'm using PSP X7 and have identified about 180 photos from several folders by rating them 5 stars. Now I would like to copy them to a hard drive folder so I can use them for calendars, digital photo frame, etc. I'm working under the "Manage" tab, but there are no provisions for Selecting All, Copying, or Saving As... I have looked through the Paintshop Guide with no luck. I can't believe Corel makes it so easy to identify individual photos but doesn't provide a means for easily copying or saving them to another location. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated and thank you.

Shift + Click to select a bunch of images. Then drag to a new folder using the "Computer" tab to physically move the images. Warning, this will actually move the images not just make copies. And if the images are not capable of retaining the rating as part of IPTC or EXIF information their ratings will be lost.

But it is possible. Probably not common though.

I doubt this is of any use to you..
I don't (or ever have), use Manage.
Maybe instead of star rating them you could 'tag' them?
I tag all my zillions of photos and they save fine to another location.

Thanks to both LeviFiction and Joelle for your prompt replies. Actually I should tag more, but I selected many different subjects over a wide variety of folders, so that's why I used the stars. I didn't think the Computer tab would open automatically when moving the files from the Collections tab, but it did and I was able to put them in a new folder I created for the purpose. BTW, holding down the CTRL key while you're dragging makes it a copy instead of a move. Thanks again,
Jim
