fine adjustment of orange trim markers VS X8.5
Hi again. I'm trying to find a way to make fine adjustments to the orange sliding trim markers under the viewing window. I can fine adjust the white timeline slider to the exact point where I want to be, given the ability to zoom in on the timeline. However, when I try to match the orange trim markers to that exact point I can't get it. I can't find a way to zoom in or fine adjust it. Is there a way to do that? Or in the alternative, is there a way to match the orange trim marker to the point selected on the timeline? Thanks.

If you want to line up the orange slider to the white scrubber then move the white arrow to the place you want it and then click on the "Mark In" icon ( [ ) or press F3 and the orange slider should line up with the white one.
to set the right end slider use the "Mark out" icon ( ] ) or press F4
just to add - it is not essential to move the orange sliders at all -- once you have the arrow in the right position using the scissor tool will cut the video in the timeline - thus providing a permanent point that you can use the 'Home' or 'End' icons on any clip to get back to precisely

Hi Glenn
In addition, use the digital clock will set the curser to any position, frame accurate, then use the F3 / 4 Mark in Out brackets.
Take care to be in Clip mode otherwise Project Preview range will be set.
View this page for a little more info on that bar.
