Anyway this is not the output. Should be a normal fix from the Corel...lata wrote:Hi Guys
I have managed to get the program running without the crash.
Reset the program by re-naming the folder 18.0
C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\18.0
Running the program for the first time re-created the 18.0 folder, the program did freeze, not responding at 80% page5.vfx
I used Task Manager to close the program
Next start worked without problems?
Yes I know this has been mentioned before but this did the trick for me.
Fix still required from Corel.

Re: VSX8 Instant Project-related crash
Hi
I have re-installed CVSX8 32 bit but not installing SP3.
So far the program is working without crashes.
I have tried Variable Speed without crashes
Fast Flick also runs without crashing.
Alex can you re-install the program.
Do not install SP3
Does the program work OK?

Yes, after installing CVS X8 18.0.0.181 without installing updates SP2 and SP3, the program is stable... Which is very strange, it should be the opposite...lata wrote:Hi

Re: VSX8 Instant Project-related crash
This is so frustrating! Earlier in this thread on about Jan 7th I posted that I solved the crashing problem by going into Library manager and resetting the library. Since then I have had to reinstall Windows 10 on my PC for reasons unrelated to this issue with VSX8. I've reinstalled VSX8 including SP3 and I'm back having the Instant Project crashing issue! However, this time, resetting the library hasn't worked and neither has replacing the uvswf.vio file.
Next I followed the suggestion above about renaming the C:\users\username\Appdata\Roaming\UleadSystems\CorelVideoStudioPro\18.0 folder. I restarted VSX8 and still got the crashing issue. Next I rebooted the PC and now I can run Instant Project without error. Go Figure! There seems to be a lot of inconsistency of how, why, or when this error occurs as well as inconsistency in what steps resolve the issue. Two different solutions for me at two different times, and the program still runs perfectly on my laptop.
Does anyone at Corel know about this problem? Are they going to issue a fix soon?

Hi SevenArrowsSevenArrow wrote: Does anyone at Corel know about this problem? Are they going to issue a fix soon?
There have been several different problems with X8 one regarding a Flash Windows update has been fixed, slightly different issues depending on Windows platform and 64bit re 32 bit programs.
Using Windows 7 and 64 bit I have no problems.
But for others with Windows 10/8 and 64 bit seem to have problems.
Over the weekend I re-installed 32 bit program and soon managed to crash the program, I believe this issue was regarding WMV and 32 bit , but your reply also indicates a W10 issue?
But as I said I believe these are WMV based not Flash.
I mailed Corel yesterday reminding them of the on going problems, I can only assume the current problems being overlooked with the earlier fix.
I have not had a reply as such from Corel, but given the time difference that’s not surprising.
You could of course post to Corel Facebook, the more people complain the quicker things will get done?

Re: VSX8 Instant Project-related crash
Today I made an experiment: installed Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8 18.0.0.181. The program works fine. Installed the SP1 Update, the program updated to version 18.1.0.9. The performance of the program is preserved. Installed the SP2 Update, the program updated to version 18.5.0.23 and went errors.
From which we can conclude that the errors in the Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8 begins after the installation of SP2.

Re: VSX8 Instant Project-related crash
Hi Alex
Yes I believe you are correct, after SP2 a Hot Fix was released to fix problems there.
There was a problem with Boris and licencing, yet another fix for Boris.
Followed by SP3 which I assumed was to correct all previous problems, which it does not seem to do.
Unfortunately installing X8 will do an auto update to SP3 which as we know is causing problems.
I can only repeat I only have problems with the 32 bit program, 64 bit program works ok.

Re: VSX8 Instant Project-related crash
After upgrading to SP2 of program error occurs when using the button "Variable Speed", and when viewing the finished projects. X8.5 Hotfix does not correct the problem.lata wrote:Hi Alex

Re: VSX8 Instant Project-related crash
After the SP2 update, has stopped running Corel FastFlick. Immediately gives an error when run.
