Does the HTML 08_Object 01.swf file exist.

Again repeated the above procedure. All the same, no dialog boxes appeared. The program began to update the database and crashed again.

Just to add to the discussion
I work with Windows 10 ;32 bit and VS X8 Ultimate

I (so far) have no problems with instant project crashing.

Particularly the one (HTML 08) I am currently using it in one of my projects and did not make my system hang or crash.

I have tested the following HTML 02;03;04;06;07;08;09;10; AND 05 included in the TEST category and none of them have crashed

All of the above HTML are listed in the Do More ;Templates

Thank you boarders for your advice, and to Corel Staff for the hotfix. It worked, together with library resetting.

Thanks for the feedback..

As far as we are aware a Windows Auto flash update caused the issues, updates are / have been fixed so hopefully we will see the end of this without the need for the Corel Hot Fix.
Seemed to affect Windows 8 and 10, although some W7 users are experiencing issues?

I've suggested to AlexL03 in his other thread on this subject that he might want to check to see if Windows has yet issued a new update for Win 7 which might fix his problem.

I have just right now re-installed "flash player", I then deleted my library folders "C:\Users\conradb\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\18.0" and the 32-bit one, and started VideoStudio and had no hang on the import of OPEN4.VFX anymore. (I did also apply the flash plugin patch earlier.)
I installed and imported HTML 08 and it appears fine also.

I don't think the Windows update will roll out to Windows 7 as the issue was with 10 and 8, yes Alex was the exception.

I was going to suggest he goes to

and install the latest version

The problems others have been experiencing have been associated with Windows 8 and 10.
There are not many other users with Windows 7 having this problem.
as Flash has been mentioned with a Windows Update it seemed appropriate to check your Flash version, maybe I was wrong, just trying to help

Well last night I re-installed CVSX8 32bit.

Incredibly I have joined the crash club, Yep my program crashes after selecting the Instant Projects Library icon.

I have replaced the Hot Fix file uvswf.vio, still crashes.

Hi Guys

I have managed to get the program running without the crash.

Reset the program by re-naming the folder 18.0
C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\18.0

Running the program for the first time re-created the 18.0 folder, the program did freeze, not responding at 80% page5.vfx

I used Task Manager to close the program
Next start worked without problems?

Yes I know this has been mentioned before but this did the trick for me.

Fix still required from Corel.
