I am using PaintShop Pro x7 and cannot connect to email when I select "email" from within the program. I am using Windows 10 but have had this problem since Win. 7.
The window states that there is no email program associated to perform the request and to either install email or create an association in the Default Programs control Panel. I use Thunderbird and Gmail but neither work when I select them as default in Win. 10 control panel. What am I missing?
Thanks,
Rosemary

Re: connecting to email
The email function works well if you use Outlook, but that is no help for those who use other apps. I remember extensive discussion on the subject some time ago.
PSP Help states "To send items using e-mail, you must connect to the Internet and your computer must have a default e-mail application that supports the MAPI Standard (such as Microsoft Outlook) and be configured to use the MAPI e-mail client." MAPI was developed by Microsoft so it works with its applications. A search of the internet brought up advice about enabling MAPI for Thunderbird. I don't have experience with Thunderbird but perhaps someone else can comment if they have gone through this change - the procedure directs to http://kb.mozillazine.org/MAPI_Support.

My PSP X7 and X8.1 opens Thunderbird when I click on Email inside PSP.
No problem.
You need to work with IMAP in Thunderbird and set your Thunderbird as the default mailer (don't create association with PSP).

Re: connecting to email
Thank you Mark and Jean-Luc for your suggestions. Lean-Luc your suggestion has worked so I can now email through PSP. Great improvement.
