Unable to start or reinstall VS X6

Not used VS X6 for some months, however when I tried to use it today, it looked like it was fine and then came up with the message :-

The program has encountered a unspecified error and has stopped functioning
Please contact Corel Technical support and send the dump file fro analysis

Looking on the support website it looks like there is no longer support for VS X6 with it being an older version with out a charge

I usually upgrade every couple of years,so wonder if VSX6 will be an upgrade path option when VSX9 comes out (guessing Feb?)

I have used the VS X6 uninstaller and reinstalled with no change still the same issue

I am running W10
Vs Pro 8.5 Ultimate. Windows 10,Intel SkyLake I5 6500,16gb Ram

We never know when a new version will be released so there is no guarantee that X9 will be released then


but X6 will not qualify for the reduced price upgrade to X9 - only the last two versions are eligible - so you could get a reduced price upgrade for X8 now - but not for X9 if and when released
