VideoStudio X8 has stopped working

Post by damiands »

Hi
I hope someone can help. I have seen several similar posts but none of the solutions seem to work.
When I try even to click on a template in Flastflix I get the following. FlastFlix has stopped working windows is searching for a solution to the problem etc.
I get the same thing in the main program.

I have tried re-installing, renaming the folder from 18.0 in the App data etc but to no avail.
Does anyone have a permanent fix to this problem. It was working previously and I am wondering is the problem a windows 10 update?

Thanks to anyone for their assistance. I need to prepare a wedding DVD urgently.

Hi
I was right. It's a windows 10 update to flash dated 31 December 2015.

But now I have a bigger problem. I uninstalled the update and everything seemed to be working fine until I tried to share my project. I now get the following error "Encountered an improper argument"

I have done a system restore prior to 31 December. Uninstalled and reinstalled the program but to no avail.

Please help as I need this DVD urgently.

Thanks all

Hi All
Solved..

Again I uninstalled and reinstalled, but this time I got a warning from my virus program. It flashed up a malware warning during the installation relating to Flash. Please ignore it or better still allow it. That's what was not enabling me to share to Mpeg 4.

So Windows 10 users. Uninstall the 31 December 2015 windows update relating to flash before opening the program and do a system restart. This updated has bugs in it.

After about 12 hours of torture I just hope this helps others.

Regards
