WinDVD Pro 11 AACS Check Error after SP5

Post by slowstuff »

I have had WinDVD 11 Pro for a couple years now and never had "major" issues, but I got a Blu ray movie for Christmas that wasn't showing the menu options. In the past whenever I had issues with new Blu ray movies I'd update the software, restart and everything would work. This time after updating I get an AACS check error, nothing else has changed except installing SP5. I tried uninstalling it and installing from my original WinDVD disk, but even doing that now gives me the AACS check error. Any suggestions?

I too have had WinDVD 11 Pro for a couple of years, and when I install SP5 it gave me an AACS check error, then when I tried again it told me I have an invalid license.
For me I had to go all the way back to my original Cleverbridge receipt and install file. Installing WinDVD 11and then upgrade to 11.7 (Sp4), but now everytime I install SP5 it complains about being invalid and dumps all the files forcing me to re-install up to 11.7. I really, really, hate my valid license copy being denied to update.
